Tutorial: Striped felt playmat with ric rac trim

Jessica fromSew Homegrown posts a tutorial on her blog showing how she created this striped felt playmat for her daughter. I love the bright stripes and the giant ric rac trim around the outside! She stapled the pieced felt to a foam playmat, but if you’re not comfortable using staples you could stitch the top to a large fabric backing (inexpensive sheet?) to create a pillowcase-style cover.
