Tutorial: Summer tote with flip flop appliqueThis sturdy tote is ready for any summer adventure!  Caroline from Sew Can She has a tutorial at Hatch.  She’s also got a free machine embroidery file for the flip flops if you sign up for a 1 month subscription to the Hatch embroidery software.  Her tutorial shows how to make the bag, but it also shows how she used the software to create the flip flop design.  An interesting post if you’ve ever wondered what it takes to make a machine embroidery file!

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!
