Tutorial: Table setting placemat

The appliques on this placemat look just like a simple geometric design, but they’re actually there to help kids learn how to set a table. Ren from The Inspired Wren shares a tutorial for making one. A hexagon in the corner shows where the glass goes, the fabric down the side shows where to put the napkin and fork, and then the knife and spoon will sit opposite of that. And bonus, the elastic strip in the corner will keep your napkin from blowing away if you’re dining outside!
