Tutorial: The Double “Doodie” Bag

May 21, 2014 by Anne Weaver

Tutorial: The Double "Doodie" BagCami from Tidbits shares a tutorial at Make It and Love It showing how to make her Double “Doodie” Bag.  It’s a large flat pouch that holds a changing pad, a couple of diapers, and a pack of wipes.  Even better, it’s lined with a wipe-clean laminated cotton so it doubles as a wet bag when needed.  Because it’s flat, you can tuck it away in the back of your car or slide it into a larger bag.  And a handle makes it easy to carry on your shoulder, because you need both  your hands (and usually a few more) to carry around a baby and all the stuff that comes with them.  This would make an awesome baby shower gift!!  Go to Make It and Love It to see how to make it.

Changing pads are the perfect solution to parenting on the run, it enables you to change a nappy/diaper quickly with an organized setup and comfort for your baby. If you are wanting more sewing patterns for change pads check these out on Etsy.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
