Carissa from Carissa Knits made this fabulous Cinderella ball gown out of three freecycled formals – a wedding dress and two bubble gum pink bridesmaid dresses. She used the Disney Cinderella dress as her inspiration. That is, the first gown that Cinderella wore, the one that her mice and birdie friends helped her refashion from her mother’s old gown.
She has a blog post with photos of the dress and gives a step-by-step showing how she transformed the three formals into Cinderella’s dress. And because she got the dresses for free, this whole costume cost her just $8 in materials. Wow! Go to Carissa Knits to see how she made this gorgeous Halloween costume.
