Tutorial: Twisted wire Easter bunny ears

March 20, 2013 by Anne Weaver

twistedbunnyearsYesterday I pointed you over to Sew Chibi, where Kataryna showed the Easter dresses she made for her two girls.  Today, she goes into more detail about how she constructed them.  AND, she shares a tutorial showing how she made the twisted wire bunny ears that her older daughter wore in the photo shoot.  I am SO loving them!  It’s a fabric headband tied in a knot, with the ends tapered into bunny ears.  Wire around the edges allows you to shape the ears any way you like – both straight up, or one bent, or both bent.  You can shape and reshape all you like.  Go to Sew Chibi for the tute.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
