Video tip: Starting a seam on thick materials

startingonthickfabricsStarting a seam on a thick fabric can be tricky.  If the feed dogs can’t start the fabric moving, then you end up with all your stitches in one spot.  This can lead to thread jams or, worse yet, your fabric getting pulled down into the mechanism.  Katja from Tinklestein Designs and RockMamaRock shares a short little video showing how to avoid this when she starts a seam on thick fabrics.  Go  to the video.
