I learned to sew under the watchful eye of my mother. She taught herself to sew when she was a young teenager and that is the age I started to sew. My mother actually took her own clothing and made my clothing when I was very little. (Even a winter coat) My first project won me a purple ribbon at our county fair. (I was in 4-H) I have been sewing ever since. I made most of my childrens clothing while they were growing up and know I am an avid quilter. I am so grateful to my mother for sharing her love of sewing.
