Elizabeth from Simple Simon & Co. shows the dress she made for her daughter’s Halloween costume. She dresssed up as the Morton Salt girl. Elizabeth created the real-life version of the short, swingy dress that she wears. She includes a free pattern and a tutorial showing how to sew it up. Though the pattern was conceived for a Halloween costume, the vintage styling would be pretty for year-round wear. (The pattern is for a girl size 7/8, though if you needed a different size you could adapt a basic dress pattern that fits your child.) Go to her post for the pattern and tutorial.
