Why are pointy hats so cute on little baby heads?  I don’t know why, but I’m reduced to a puddle whenever I see a little elfish hat on a baby.  This Snow Pixie Hat tutorial that Meg McElwee from Sew Liberated shares in the latest issue of Petite Purls is no exception.  Not only is it super cute, but made from wool and lined with jersey it’s also warm and soft for those tender baby ears.  I wonder if my friend would think it odd if I just show up at her house with one of these for her baby girl?  Go to the free pattern and tutorial.
