Tutorial: How to make a continuous bound placketCrystal from Stitched By Crystal used a continuous bound placket to add buttons to the back of a dress she made for her daughter.  She shares a tutorial showing how to make one.  One strip of bias tape finishes off the raw edges on both sides of the opening.  She includes instructions on how to make one if your pattern is marked for buttons, and also how to adapt a pattern that’s marked for a zipper closure instead.  You can also use this technique for sleeve plackets.  Go to Stitched By Crystal for the tute.
