I love using pattern weights when cutting out pattern pieces from fabric, but to purchase them as a set is ridiculously expensive.  Junie Moon shows how to make your own weights from heavy washers.  They’re perfectly serviceable straight from the hardware store, but a bit of paint and some monogramming make them awesome.  Go to the tutorial.
