A pillowcase dress usually has a casing and ribbon at the neck. Destri from The Mother Huddle shows how to make a pillowcase dress with an elastic casing at the neck instead. The stretchy neckline is easily pulled over a child’s head, and the stationary straps need no tying or adjusting. Get the tute.

hi,
since the hyperlinks to motherhuddle.com are outdated , is there a way to get measurements for the strips of the pillowcase dress?
Thank you!

Mother Huddle is unfortunately no longer available. 🙁 A quick search for a similar patchwork pillowcase dress didn’t bring anything up, but here is a link to a non-patchwork pillowcase dress. http://weallsew.com/pillowcase-dress-tutorial/ If you want the patchwork, I’d say to just piece together the strips first and then cut the pattern from the patchwork fabric. That way it doesn’t really matter so much how wide the strips are, so long as the pieced fabric is big enough to cut the pattern.
