Wendi from Shiny Happy World shows how to make a set of pattern weights, quick and easy.  The weighted fabric shapes are similar to the cardboard sour cream containers you can find in cafeterias.  You can use them instead of straight pins to keep your patterns in place while cutting them out of fabric.   Go to her blog for the how-to.
