Ages ago, we posted about making your very own yoga mat bag. I still get letters from readers inquiring about this pattern from Craftbits. I decided to snoop around to see if I could come up with additional yoga mat bag patterns that will make going to yoga class stylish.

McCalls has an easy straight forward yoga bag pattern. In addition, this set also features patterns for cute workout wear.

Amy Bulter offers the Nigella Yoga Bag pattern on her site. Plus with all her groovey fabrics, you’re sure to find something to snazz up your mat!

And lastly, Pink of Perfection has a charming video on making your own bag without a pattern. This adorable site also offers fantastic projects and ideas for living la dolce vita!

I made this yoga bag with great success. I added a drawstring cord at the top (the pattern gives no way to close the bag) and used a heavier home decor fabric for both the lining and the outside.

I love it and it hangs well off your shoulder.

The Marimekko blog has what looks like the clearest instructions to me and it’s a cute bag. I hate carrying the mat by just wrapping my yoga strap around it!

Thanks for the tutorials and patterns!
