Holocaust Museum Houston wants to collect 1.5 million handmade butterflies, one for each child who perished in the Holocaust. Technique and medium are wide open – fabric, paper, clay, stitched, glued, whatever you choose – but 2-dimensional butterflies are preferred and should be no larger than 8 x 10 inches. You could make one or two of them on your own, or use this as a group activitiy with a school or a scouting troop. Read more about this project.
