10 tips to make your sewing space work better

To say my sewing room is inefficient is an understatement. I often just pull my sewing machine to the dining room because there is no empty table space in my studio. And every time I need a tool or notion, I’m stepping over piles and pulling out boxes. There has to be a better way! And there IS. Allie from Indiesew shares 10 tips for achieving functional sewing space nirvana. As soon as I can, I will put these to work in my own sewing room.

I immediately related to using the dining room table as no room in my studio!! I have two craft/sewing rooms and can’t move in either!!! I am currently trying to sort my sewing room but can’t actually go to bed yet tonight as I have piled stuff on my bed to try and make space just to hoover the floor!!!These tips will really spur me on to get organised!!!!

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!
