Do you remember way back when, when Strawberry Shortcake wore that big puffy pink hat? She wears a large straw hat now. But Cheryl from Sew Can Do shows how you can make a child’s dress-up version of Strawberry’s big fabric hat. I feel a bout of childhood nostalgia coming on! It’s made of pink fleece with embroidered pink strawberries scattered about, and a soft fabric strawberry on top. She used an embroidery machine to stitch all the berries on to the fleece. If you don’t have an embroidery machine, you could stitch them by hand or maybe paint them on. Go to her blog for the tutorial.
