This fish costume that Erin from Vint Hill Vintage Blog made for her son is all kinds of fabulousness! Wow!! She shares a tutorial showing how she made it. The costume is made from a hoodie pattern and a pants pattern, using a fabric printed with metallic fish scales. She appliqued giant fishy eyes on the hood and made fins from a .green lame. She says the fabric was difficult to work with. But judging from how her costume turned out, I’d say it’s worth the effort. Her tutorial is part of the Handmade Costume Series at The Train To Crazy. Go to Vint Hill Vintage Blog to read how to make one.
