Free pattern: Swashbuckling pirate sword from felt

Simmi from Grace’s Favours made a swashbuckling pirate sword for her son’s Halloween costume out of felt and cardboard. She shares the pattern and a how-to so you can make one, too. The felt shapes are glued to a cardboard base and then handstitched around the edge. It’s lightweight and has no sharp edges, so it’s a good choice for younger pirates.
