Book Review – Love…Sewing: 25 Simple Step-By-Step Projects to Sew

May 2, 2023 by Shellie Wilson

If you’re looking for a fun and creative way to add some personality to your home, then you need to check out Love…Sewing 25 simple step by step projects to sew ! This book is filled with 25 amazing projects that are simple, yet stylish. From cushions, throws, and bags to a cot quilt, table linen, and even a blind, you’ll find everything you need to know to get started.

I have to say, I wasn’t exactly an expert sewer when I first picked up this book, but the step-by-step instructions and photos made it so easy to follow along. The basics section at the beginning of the book was also a great resource for me, as it taught me all the essential techniques I needed to know to get started.

The projects in this book are all about adding color, texture, and pattern to your home, and the author does a great job of using simple sewing techniques and fresh fabrics to make each project really stand out. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend your evenings and weekends, I would definitely recommend Love…Sewing. Happy sewing!

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
