Cool idea: Play tent with a card table and fitted cover

April 16, 2009 by Anne Weaver

cardtabletentMy daughter loves playing in makeshift tents.  One of the best is a card table with a sheet draped over the top.  Creative Chicks shows how their mom took this idea to the next level with the snoopy tent.  She fitted the sheet around the table and inserted a door and window.  Read more from Creative Chicks blog.

Seeing your tent in my Craft Gossip newsletter brought back wonderful memories. My Nana made one of these for us(sister, brother and I ) when we were kids and we had more fun than anyone could imagine. It is nice to see that others have fun with simple projects too. By the way Nana made it for us 45+ years ago.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
