Free pattern: Coat designed for the homeless

During the holiday season, our thoughts often turn to the less fortunate among us.  Carol Kimball shares a free pattern for a coat designed for the homeless.  The size is right to fit  most (but not all) people and it has special features to keep someone warm on a cold night.  For example, a pocket across the bottom can be folded over the person’s feet while they are sleeping.  It uses only straight seams, so it’s easy to sew.  Even if you don’t have time to complete some before Christmas, keep in mind that Christmas isn’t the only time that people are in need.  Go to the free pattern.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!
