Free pattern: Felted fox pillow

September 10, 2013 by Anne Weaver

feltfoxlong_edited-1Nicole from The Felted Fox made this felt fox pillow was made as a special gift for a child.  Actually, she made two of them – one for each of her cousin’s two daughters who live in Norway, where you can find red foxes like the one she put on the pillows.   The fox is printed on to felt using a freezer paper stencil method.  The stylized fox is done as a line drawing, with red hearts for accents.  She shares the tutorial and the pattern she used to create the stencil.  Go to The Felted Fox the get the how-to and the pattern, and to also see some gorgeous photos of sights you can see when traveling to Norway.

    Hi Anne,

Thank you for featuring my project on Craft Gossip.

    Best,
    Nicole

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
