Free pattern: Lego Indiana Jones costume shirt

October 20, 2013 by Anne Weaver

Free pattern: Lego Indiana Jones costume shirtMax California shows how she made this Lego Indiana Jones costume shirt for her son.  He reenacts the video game regularly as part of his play.  Now he has the outfit to wear during his adventuring.  It looks like a separate jacket and shirt, but it’s actually all sewn together into one shirt, with the button placket and collar detail stenciled on.

She shares a free pattern in a size 4T.  If you need another size, you can adapt a t-shirt pattern that fits your child.  Her tutorial was part of the Sew Ready to Play series at I’m Feelin’ Crafty.  I missed it when it was published there originally, but I caught it when she brought it home to her own blog.  You can see her tutorial atI’m Feelin’ Crafty or on her own blog.

DIY Shirt Extender – Sewing Pattern

I like having a little extra coverage when I wear leggings, but I could never find a cute top that was just the right length. So I decided to make this Easy Sew Shirt Extender! This is so simple to sew and is an easy sewing project for beginners. It is easy to layer under your shirt or top of choice and I added some lace trim to mine for a fancier look. You can mix and match colors and fabrics to suit your needs!
