I needed a tie for another student to match the dress I made my daughter for a school play and was able to make the tie with leftover material. In place of the elastic, I used a strip of the same material and then sewed velcro onto it for an easy closure and easy on and off. Thanks so much for the pattern and tutorial.
Love it!! I needed to make something that looked like a school tie for a tap dancing costume, and this was perfect. I made nine for the dancers and then because it is so easy and looks great I have made a floral tie for my six-year-old son.
