Free pattern: Minky swing coat for little girls

February 18, 2014 by Anne Weaver

minkyswingjacketStef from Girl. Inspired. shares a free pattern for making this Minky swing jacket for a little girl.  This little jacket is Minky all over – Minky on the outside, and Minky for a soft lining as well.  A button and loop at the collar make a closure.  Her pattern makes a size 4T swing jacket.  If you need another size, you should be able to size it up or down by adjusting the sleeve length and hem.  Go to Girl. Inspired. for the pattern and how to sew it together.

This is adorable. My daughter requested one for my granddaughter (age 2) so will definitely make this for her. She loves purple so I’ll be off to look for some purple minky. Thank you for sharing the tutorial & pdf pattern.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
