Free pattern: Shark pencil case, with a zipper for teeth

August 14, 2014 by Anne Weaver

sharkpencilpouch13My tween-aged daughter just discovered the Sharknado movies last week, so we are alllll about sharks at our house right now.  She would totally go nuts for this shark pencil case by Becky from Patchwork Posse.  The zipper makes his sharp sharky teeth!  The cuteness!!  Lucky for me, she shares a free pattern and a tutorial showing how to make it.  Click the link below to go to Patchwork Posse for the pattern:

If you are planning on hosting a fun Shark week (July) activity then make sure you check out these other shark crafts we wrote about as well as some fun shark-themed food you can eat. (No sharks were harmed in the making of our yummy shark treats)

Love Sharks? How about playing these fun Shark themed Board Games or these resource books for learning about sharks.

Hi Becky, I am having trouble finding the shark pattern, thanks

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
