Free pattern: Swinging Swingy Dress for toddler girls

April 19, 2012 by Anne Weaver

Jen, aka The Crafting Fiend, shares a free pattern and tutorial on her blog for making her Swinging Swingy Dress for toddler girls.  The loose, swingy, sleeveless dress is pretty, and also easy for small children to play in.  The pattern is sized for a 2T/3T dress, but you could adjust up or down as needed.   Get the pattern and tutorial.

This is adorable and I’d love to make it but each time I attempt to download and print the pattern it says I have to pay to join Scribd. Am I doing something wrong? That’s not free if I have to pay to join.

This is an old post, and unfortunately Scribd’s policies on old files is to archive them and then require a paid membership to access. (At least this was their policy the last time I checked, which admittedly was several years ago.) That sounds like what has happened with this file. I am sorry for the inconvenience. –Anne

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
