Free sewing pattern: Vintage sheet pajama pants

Free sewing pattern: Vintage sheet pajama pants

Emily at Life Sew Savory shows how you can make a pair of pajama pants from a vintage sheet.  And she’s got a free sewing pattern you can use to make them!  The vintage sheets have a nice look for pajama pants, and you can repurpose a nice hem to be the hem of the pants.  Even better when the sheet has a cute contrast hem!  Go to Life Sew Savory for the free sewing pattern and tutorial.

Vintage sheets are very popular for re-styling or recycling of fabric and a great way to use these fun and bold prints rather than just storing grannies old bedsheets in the cupboard.  You can see more articles using vintage sheets here.   Don’t have any vintage bed sheets of your own? Check these out on Etsy.

Monday Musings: My Fabric Stash is Judging Me (A Love-Hate Relationship)

I have a problem. Well, several problems, but today we’re talking about the 37 yards of fabric currently taking up residence in my closet. Some of it’s been there so long it could legally vote. That beautiful linen? Bought for a specific project in 2018. The designer wool? “Too nice to cut.” The rainbow of quilting cotton? Well, it was on sale.

Every time I open that closet, I swear the fabric whispers, “Remember when you were going to make that dress?” The guilt is real. But so is the joy of petting my hoard like a fabric dragon sitting on her treasure.

Last week I tried the KonMari method. I got as far as “does this spark joy?” before buying three more yards of floral voile. Some habits die hard.
