A simple dress doesn’t have to look plain.  The addition of trims and embellishments can add fancy detail to a plain dress.  Mary Beth from Retro Monkeys shares a vintage project sheet over at the Pattern Patter blog showing how you can use trims on simple dress shapes to create creative designs and personalized styles.  The project sheet was originally published in 1963.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern
