Today is June 28. That means that, starting today, the majority of Michaels locations across the United States will begin carrying a selection of precut fabrics. Fabric at Michaels!! Yay!!! And not just cottons, either. They’ll also have canvas, burlap, felt, faux fur, crushed velvet, and tulle.
For a sneakie peakie, here are some of the fabrics they sent me to play with.
The key print and the zebra print are both canvas, and the brown and the typewriter key fabrics are burlap. The smaller piece is a felt embossed with an animal print.

I am so glad that more places are starting to carry fabric again!
An interesting note is that I was just at my local Walmart here in San Clemente, CA yesterday and commented to myself how they were now carrying some select fabrics again as well. In fact – they were the EXACT fabrics you are showing in this post.
Awww…I haven’t seen them at our Michaels yet. I did go earlier in the week but I didn’t look like they were moving stuff around to make room for the fabric. And I was looking for fabric too for a project and all they had was 3 of the same bundles of pre-cut quarters in colors I was definitely not looking for! Hopefully soon!
Oh, I do so hope my Michael’s store is included in the fabric sale items. I have always felt that it wasn’t quite everything I wanted because it didn’t carry fabrics. Oh, please, please Michael’s, be a fabric carrier.
