Sewing Summit awaits

September 17, 2013 by Anne Weaver

Tomorrow afternoon I’ll be boarding an airplane, destination Salt Lake City, Utah.

I am woefully behind in my packing, but somehow I can’t seem to pull myself away from laptop as I read the Sewing Summit Facebook posts and blog posts by other attendees.  I am absolutely bursting with excitement, but also terribly nervous at the thought of meeting so many sewy types in just a few days!!

I’m obsessing over my wardrobe (what will I wear????) and the project I’ll bring to open sewing time.  (a purse? a stack of wrist cuffs? DECISIONS!!)  I haven’t made any hard plans to meet up with folks, so I’m hoping that I won’t be eating all my meals alone.  Crafty sewy types are super friendly, so my thinking brain (as opposed to my nervous brain) says that this won’t happen.

As I write this, I realize that my profile photo here on Craft Gossip is sadly out of date.  So don’t look for the chic with the long hair.  Look for this girl…

…and if you see her, please please PLEASE walk up and say “Hi!!”

I expect I’ll be pretty busy over the next few days, so blogging here at Craft Gossip will be sporadic at best.  Will you forgive me?  I’ll probably be crazy with the Instagram, though. You can follow me on Instagram at anneweaver1974.

Hey! It was fun to meet you…I’m just sad it wasn’t until the last night when Elizabeth and I were all crazy talk about what happened in Vegas, hating reading logs, and me getting beat up by highschool girls who I told wore ugly shoes.

When our paths cross again I swear I’ll try to be more normal

I was so happy to get to meet both of you, reading logs and crazy Vegas trips and saddle shoe hating and all! I hope to hear more crazy stories should we have the opportunity to meet in person again! Maybe I’ll even share a few of my own. 🙂 –Anne
