Take the September Sew For 30 pledge

How many times have you thought, “I’d love to make that, if only I had the time…”  Star from Star’s Threads is encouraging us all to find time to sew, even if in small snippets, with her September Sew for 30 pledge.  The pledge is to commit to sewing for at least 30 minutes every day during the month of September, which also happens to be National Sewing Month.  She gives some tips for ways you can incorporate sewing into an already busy day.

I am taking the Sew 30 pledge and challenge. I will be going to Scotland for 2 weeks and have been gathering up hand sewing pieces to do while there. I don’t quilt YET but am working towards this, first by learning to hand piece and that is what I am taking with me. Slow stitching to help slow me down a bit. Hopefully it works. I too get very frustrated when trying to sew clothing and only to not like it, have it be ill fitting even with doing everything to have it not be so, but I am continuing to work on this challenge as our Sewing Guild group also has used this past year for challenging us to make clothing.
