Tutorial: Bean bag chair with stuffed animal storage

November 9, 2017 by Anne Weaver

Tutorial: Bean bag chair with stuffed animal storageStuffed animals are always fun to give to kids, but we parents know that there’s only so much space to store all those stuffed animals.  Caroline from Sew Can She has a solution.  She sewed a bean bag chair that uses stuffed animals as the filling, and she’s got a tutorial showing how.  The bean bag chair gives a place to store the stuffed animals while also creating a soft space for kids to hang out.  A zipper in the bag lets your child pull out the stuffed animals when she wants to play with them, or put them back in when she’s done.  Smart!!

With all the excitement and expectation of Santa’s visit, it can be hard for kids to go to sleep on Christmas Eve.  Melissa from Polka Dot Chair created special pillowcases for her nephews, to be used only on Christmas Eve.  When she gave them to them, she included a little poem explaining that they’re magic pillowcases to help them have sweet dreams.  She’s sharing a free printable of the poem on her blog, plus she links to a tutorial she’s written for making a pillowcase, so you can start the tradition with your own kids.
