Sewing Pattern – Big bad wolf costume for dogs

October 16, 2009 by Anne Weaver

big-bad-wolf-bigdog

You know your dog is just big ole teddy bear, but on Halloween let him pretend to be a much fiercer big, bad wolf.  I love these faux fur wolf hoods featured at  Craftzine!  Who knows, maybe someone will fill his trick or treat bag with doggie bones…  Read more at Craftzine.

This isn’t a tutorial for the costume, but a reference to an etsy site selling the costume. Bummer. My kid wants a wolf costume… from SANTA.

No kidding! When I linked to this last year, I could have sworn it was a how-to. So sorry for the mix-up! I’ve corrected the post. To make one yourself, I bet you could adapt a plain hat costume. –Anne

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
