When you don’t want the stitches on a hem to show from the front, a blind hem is the way to go. Because of how the hem is folded while it’s being sewn, most of the stitches will end up on the part of the fabric that is folded up, with just tiny stitches taken every so often into the garment itself. Sew4Home shares a good tutorial showing how to make a blind hem. You’ll need a special blind hem foot and a special blind hem stitch. Luckily, most sewing machines come with these.
