Tutorial: Layered skirts for a little girl and her doll

With a pair of tutorials by Autie from iCandy Handmade, you can make matching layered skirts for a little girl and an American Girl (or other 18″) doll. It’s a simple gathered skirt with an elastic waistband, sewn from two layers of fabric. She designed the little girl skirt several years ago and it’s become a go-to skirt for her to make. Now she’s got a doll-sized version that matches. The girl-sized skirt tutorial has an overskirt that is pieced from three prints, but you can easily adjust to use just the one like you see here.
