Kathryn from Daydream Doll Boutique shows how you can make a pair of lace tights for an 18″ doll out of a crocheted knitted sock. The sock needs to be a women’s size knee sock in order to have enough length to cover the doll’s legs and feet. The ribbing at the top of the sock will become the waistband, so there’s only a couple of cuts and one long seam to make the tights. Go to Daydream Doll Boutique for the tutorial.

Those are knit, not crocheted.

This is a knit sock, not crocheted. It’s lacy, but it’s still knit.
Ordinarily, this would bug me, but I’d keep it to myself. In this case, I think the error should be corrected because the tutorial wouldn’t work with an actual crocheted sock. Crochet would unravel if you cut it the way the tutorial suggests.

Thank you for your correction. I will freely admit that knitting and crochet are not my areas of expertise. –Anne
