Eyelet twill tape can turn a plain t-shirt into a trendy lace up tee, with no sewing required! Rose and Haley at Paper and Chocolate have a tutorial showing how to do it. They use fabric glue to make it a no-sew project, but you could you use a sewing machine instead and it would be still be an easy sewing project.
