You know that feeling when you find a sewing project that’s equal parts adorable, festive, and easy to whip up? That’s exactly what I got when I stumbled upon the Carrot Treat Bag Free Pattern from Connecting Threads.
This little carrot-shaped pouch is just as cute as it sounds — a perfect blend of spring charm and handmade goodness. Whether you’re prepping for Easter baskets, spring parties, or just love whimsical sewing projects, this one’s a winner.
The pattern is totally free (yes, FREE!), and the instructions are super clear, even for beginner sewists. You’ll just need some orange and green fabric — think quilting cotton or anything with a bit of structure — and a drawstring or ribbon for the top.
The bag has a clever cone shape that mimics a real carrot, and the green “top” cinches closed with a drawstring, giving it that leafy, garden-fresh look. It’s not huge — perfect for a handful of treats, a gift card, or even small toys — but it’s exactly the right size for party favors or basket stuffers.
I can’t seem to find the link to the tutorial for the purse from neckties.
So sorry! It looks like I forgot to add in the linking. I’ve edited the post so it should show up for you now.

I’m getting a school bag rather than the purse. I love this purse.
The school bag is the same as what I’m describing as a purse. I thought it looked more like a “purse” than a school bag, so that’s how I described it when I linked to it. Sorry for the confusion! –Anne
I would love to have the pattern for this purse. My late husband was a great tie man, I have a large drawer full of ties. I know my daughter and daughter-in-law would love to have a purse made out of his ties.
Thanks
