Tutorial: Repurposed t-shirt bag

January 16, 2014 by Anne Weaver

tshirtovernightbagSusan from Living With Punks shares a tutorial at Momtastic showing how you can repurpose an old t-shirt into a bag.  The one she made is will be an overnight bag for her daughter.  It’s super fast and super easy, requiring just one seam and a few cuts.  Go to Momtastic for her DIY.

    How do you open these instructions to see the how to do’s? Whats with the install deal to open it? theres some kind of virus on that. Is there another way to open it instead installing it to just open the instructions??

    Thanks;

    Robin

      You shouldn’t have to install anything to get the instructions. The link in this post will take you straight to the blog post with all the instructions and photos you need to complete this project. –Anne

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
