Tutorial: Patchwork shark pillow

Tutorial: Patchwork shark pillow

I don’t normally think of sharks as being cute, but the shark on this pillow Becky from Patchwork Posse falls in the cute category.  His body is a patchwork of gray and white prints, and he has button eyes and ric rac teeth.  She shares a tutorial showing how you can make one.  It would be a fun accent for a child’s bedroom.  Follow the link below to go to her tutorial:

If you are planning on hosting a fun Shark week (July) activity then make sure you check out these other shark crafts we wrote about as well as some fun shark-themed food you can eat. (No sharks were harmed in the making of our yummy shark treats)

Love Sharks? How about playing these fun Shark themed Board Games or these resource books for learning about sharks.

    Cute!

Have you read?

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
