As much as I try to avoid jeans that gape at the back (you know what I’m talking about), I’ve usually got one or two pairs at any given time that have that annoying gap.  Tasha from Glitter and Wit shares a tutorial at The Sewing Rabbit shows how you can take in the waistband of your jeans to remove that gap at the back.  She used this method when she worked in an alterations shop.  You could spend the money to pay someone to do it, or you could use her tutorial and do it yourself.
