The little envelopes have the cutest pom pom closures! Those colorful pom poms may be my favorite feature of these envelopes. You can sew the envelopes from Valentine themed fabrics or just raid your stash to make them in a variety of prints and colors. And while they’d make pretty gift envelopes, a handful of them hanging from a garland would also make a pretty Valentine’s Day decoration for your home!
If you’re giving a gift card for a Valentine’s Day gift, these love letter gift card envelopes would be a pretty way to present it. The stitching on the outside makes it look like an itty bitty piece of mail! There’s a tutorial and free pattern for you at Orange Bettie.
These felt envelopes by See Kate Sew are also a super quick project. Using different colors of felt for the front/back of the envelope is a fun detail. If you have a Cricut you can use it to cut the top edges of the envelope into adorable scallops. They’re also cute with just straight edges so if you don’t have a Cricut you can just cut envelopes.
For Valentine’s Day gifts that won’t fit into a small fabric envelope, you could make a drawstring pouch. AppleGreen Cottage has a tutorial showing how to make the cutest drawstring pouches. Make them from Valentine’s Day novelty fabrics – or add a simple heart applique to a pretty floral fabric and you’ve got adorable Valentines gift bags. Plus they’re resuable! The little pouches make a great place to hold jewelry or other small items even when it’s not Valentine’s Day.
