Winner of the Patchwork Rose Zippered Bag online class with Bari J. Ackerman

July 19, 2011 by Anne Weaver

I don’t know about you, but the color combos you guys submitted as entries to the giveaway for the Patchwork Rose Zippered Bag class with Bari J. Ackerman have me totally inspired!  I want to drop every bit of laundry and dish washing on  my to-do list and rummage through my scrap bin to recreate all of those pallettes!

The winner of our giveaway is lucky commenter #36, Mimi, who said:

I would love to see this bag in deep jewel colours. Thanks!

Oooh, a jewel-toned patchwork bag would be gorgeous!!   I’ve sent your contact information over to the folks at Rick Rack: Thread Therapy for Sewers so they can get you set up for the class.

With all the excitement and expectation of Santa’s visit, it can be hard for kids to go to sleep on Christmas Eve.  Melissa from Polka Dot Chair created special pillowcases for her nephews, to be used only on Christmas Eve.  When she gave them to them, she included a little poem explaining that they’re magic pillowcases to help them have sweet dreams.  She’s sharing a free printable of the poem on her blog, plus she links to a tutorial she’s written for making a pillowcase, so you can start the tradition with your own kids.
