Secondhand fabric shopping advice from Abby Glassenberg

June 20, by Anne Weaver. 2 Comments

thriftfabricMuch of my ample fabric and notions stash has come from estate sales and thrift stores.  And why not?   You can find some unusual items, and get them for a fraction of the cost of buying them new.  And it’s eco-friendly, too.  But shopping secondhand is a different animal from perusing the bolts at the fabric store.  Abby Glasssenberg from While She Naps, and author of Stuffed Animals: From Concept to Construction, gives some advice for where to look and what to look for when fabric shopping at thrift stores and rummage sales.   Go to her post to see what she says.
