Erica from The Polka-Dot Umbrella shares a tutorial showing how to make a quick and easy travel sewing kit. The body of the kit is made from a discount store hot pad, with baggies to hold sewing items and a fabric panel to hold pins & needles stitched down the center. And the button closure is brilliant! The hanging loop of the hot pad gets repurposed into a button loop. Get the tutorial.
