Lately, I’ve been reading about more and more folks making their own swimsuits. Sarah from Musings of a Seamstress shows a couple of ways you can finish the edges of your swimsuit. The first is with bound elastic, which allows you to add a contrast fabric to the edges of your suit. The second is a gathered elastic that’s turned under at the edge. The gathering helps ensure a snugger, more supportive fit (like you’d want at arm or leg holes). Her tutorial is a guest post at Kadiddlehopper. Go there for her how-to.
