Tutorial: Girl's layered ruffle skirt with built-in shortsWhenever my daughter wears a skirt to school or to the park, or really anywhere besides church, we layer shorts or leggings underneath so she can have freedom of movement without having to worry about panties showing.  My favorite skirts for her to wear are the ones with the shorts already sewn in.  It’s just easier that way!

Pamela from Sovanisa shows how you can make a girl’s layered ruffle skirt with built-in shorts.  The tiered ruffles are a cute style for little girls and tweeny girls alike.  She includes a free pattern for making the shorts in a size 6/6x.  (If you need another size, you can always trace around a pair of bike shorts or leggings that fit your child.)   Go to her tutorial.
